Information to Consider:
What role does Komodo dragons have in maintaining biodiversity?
It helps the ecosystem to stay balance by being the predator and being eaten by other predators when they were young.
Quick Fact:
* Adult Komodo Dragon did not have any predator. They are the predator.
* Young Komodo Dragon have some predators, which are some mammals, birds, and adult Komodo Dragons.
* Komodo Dragon is an organism that has dinosaur as the ancestor.
* It lives on the Earth for many decades already.

WHY is Komodo Dragon endangered?
HOW Do People Help Currently?
- Komodo Dragon National Parks
- Protected by the Indonesia Government (1980)
- Habitat Protection: tourism are being control on where they live
Ex: only allow to live in local hotel with local tour guide in the Komodo Dragon National Park.

Negative Human Impacts:
1. Continuing of global warming will cause the extinction of Komodo Dragon
Ex: Other animals like buffalo will disappear because of hot weather, then Komodo Dragon will not have enough food.
2. Losing habitat because of the increasing of recreational areas.
Ex: Companies need to build resorts or hotels for tourism, which will limit the area for Komodo Dragon.
3. Illegal killing
Ex: People killed Komodo Dragon because they want to sale the leather to the people that think it cool.
4. Komodo Dragon being disturb by human
Ex: When the tourism travel to the Komodo Dragon National Park, tourism will disturb the life of Komodo Dragon. The reason is because when tourism come, the workers will feed them free meat, which will make them become more lazy on hunting own food. This will destroy their nature skills, such as hunting.

Action Plan to HELP.
1. More Komodo Dragon National Parks
2. Regulations and punishments to the people that destroy the environment or kill the Komodo Dragons.
3. Educate the children (people) about the endangering of Komodo Dragons.
4. Create organization to help
5. Let the Komodo Dragon be "wild" (Don't feed free food)
6. Limit the amount of people access to the Island or National Park.
